The importance of moisture testing.
Insitu moisture test today in an apartment in Moonee Ponds. Every now and then we see blown timber or bubbling vinyl installations, all of which could have been avoided with a simple moisture test and adequate barrier plan. Australian standard 1884:2021 states tests are to be carried out by all contractors before an installation but sadly many do not fulfil this procedure. The value of adequate moisture testing is often not realised until a problem arises some months after the install is complete.
